Epidemic of Hate Pt. 2

Let me just begin telling you that I have a lot of compassion, empathy, and love for others. I don't care what your race is, your sexual preference, bad you've done, or anything else. I've learned over time not to ever assume anything about anyone or any situation. Facts and knowing the truth eliminates a lot of drama. I HATE drama, evil, hate, meanness, and many other things, but good can be found in every flaw, situation, and even the most hateful person. Just because you accept a person who doesn't exactly believe the way you do doesn't mean you have to agree with their beliefs. The art of "live and let live" is far more scarce than it ought to be. Hate comes from a lack of understanding of so many things such as, cultural differences, beliefs and perspectives, leading to mistrust towards those who are perceived as "different."

Ignorance is also a root causes of hate. When you lack knowledge of others, you can easily misinterpret actions or beliefs, leading to negative assumptions and even develop hostility. Unfamiliarity can trigger fear, which can also manifest as hate towards others who are perceived as different. Acceptance and learning to be okay with what's different or not the norm for you is key in elimination of hate. Empathy as a countermeasure: Trying to actively understand others' perspectives and experiences can dismantle harmful stereotypes and reduce the likelihood of hate. Certain adversity in our lives can trigger and intensify hatred: jealousy, failure, guilt, and so on.

I felt led to go a little further with this because I am sick of seeing so many hurt, our world in such a sick state, and the lack of peace. One of the biggest things you can do to help contribute to the elimination of this problem is to get outside yourself! It's good to be passionate about things but not when you're so passionate about something that it begins to cause division and strife. That's one area where the live and let live comes into play as does acceptance. I've been dealing a lot with haters lately and of course, when you are at a low point is when you seem to get attacked even more. Your response is everything, remember that! Seeking peace and pursuing it is Biblical, and I'd rather be at peace with someone, without sacrificing my beliefs, to help make this world a better place.

In coming into contact with and dealing with hate a bit myself lately, it reminded to never put anyone on a pedestal as that is set up for resentment as no one is perfect. I was made more keenly aware of how much hate there is all over and how much I want to be excluded from it. It's kind of like an earthquake....you can't run or hide from it, pretending it's not happening, but you can control your responses which is going to be one of the most powerful tools you have. Love really does conquer all and can turn the ugliest person into a whole new person who wouldn't be recognizable to those who'd known the individual for years! I don't like the pain I have encountered lately from the individuals dishing out the hate, but I am grateful for the lessons I've learned which I have discussed above. Let it grow you or diminish you....like I said, your response is the dictator for which way the situation goes next.
