Faith to Let Go

We all go through seasons of heartache and needing time to heal. As I said in an earlier post, I hadn't allowed myself the time to heal before unknowingly (at the time ) just packing more weight into the "suitcase" needing unpacked. So, I beckon you to ask yourself if you've allowed the time and space in your life to heal. It's critical that you do in order to live life to the full without the weight of baggage being a thief of joy and peace. Also, you want to be able to give your best, be your best self which is hard to do if you're operating out of a place of hurt, not wholeness. Maybe you just got out of a serious relationship, you got let go from your job, or a friend did you dirty. I've been hurt and have moved on still hurting, unsure why things keep happening to me. Trust me, I've experienced it all! I'm addressing this issue because if you are in that state, my heart breaks for you. I have been broken, carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders, attempting to press on without fullness of strength and the proper mindset to even do so, thus wearing myself down even more!!

It's not fair the way we are dealt the hand we get, and as you can see from all of my posts, my life hasn't always been easy. Even now, as will be until the end of time, these days of difficulty will come in waves. Letting go of someone or something you had intentions of growing with is painful. Just like seasons though, people change and circumstances change. Life is like a revolving door and constantly changing. You have to learn how to cope through the ebb and flow of life. We all change as we should throughout life because that means we are growing. You can't keep waiting and trying to force things that no longer work. Furthermore, you can't stay in a place where you're no longer needed or wanted. It's necessary to let go sometimes and you need to be able to have enough wisdom and sense of reality to determine both, what needs to be let go and when you do, taking the proper amount of time to heal. You can't put healing on a scale as it's different for everyone and no one is you, so therefore, no one can tell you when it's right or wrong to do so.

Get in the habit of surrendering every situation over to God so that it can no longer hold you captive or take away your peace. We all need to take a step back sometimes and truly be able to answer what it's time to let go of and give over to God. Allow God to be your ultimate guide because He is the only one who knows you best and has laid out your life's plan. He is also your source of healing and comfort. You have nothing to lose by doing this, only the ability to grow your faith and yourself. Stop allowing past baggage to hold you captive and hinder your healing and growth. Understand also that God's vision for you, is much larger than yours. Stay open to hearing from Him as He is key to your life's success in all areas.
